If I trade in my Xbox 360 to GameStop, then someone else buys it, will they be able to access my gamer tag. Because I think the gamer tag is saved to the Xbox, not the hard drive. What is my gamer tag saved to?They only will be able to access your gamertag if you did not delete it from the harddrive. Also, once you recover the gamertag on another console (I am assuming you bought a new one), they will no longer be able to use it on the one you sold to GameStop. What is my gamer tag saved to?Go to system settings%26gt; Memory%26gt; Hard drive%26gt; Gamertags. Your gamertag should be there. So, what you can do is move it. Just get a flash drive about 1gb and insert it into the xbox. It will ask you to configure it so say ok. Then you click on your profile and select move. Then you will tell it to move it to your usb stick, and it will. Now you can trade in your xbox without having to worry about your gamertag. When you get your new xbox just do the reverse. Move your gamertag from your usb stick to your hardrive. What is my gamer tag saved to?Back up everything to your computer with a flash drive, then format the hard drive, then trade it in.What is my gamer tag saved to?
It saves to the Hard Drive and to the XBOX Live servers if it's an XBOX Live Gamertag (ring them to cancel)
If it's not connected to LIVE, then it only exists on your Hard Drive
