Can I use my ATT wireless service for my alarm system instead of a landline?

I have Broadview security in my home. I currently use the Optimum phone line for the alarm system. I want to get rid of the landline and am looking for alternatives.

1) I have 2 mobile phones with ATT. Can I get another SIM card and use it with the alarm system.

Can someone recommend devices that I can attach to the security alarm so that I can avoid the extra monthly monitoring charge from Broadview

2) I have voip service with Allvoi. I connected the alarm system directly to the voip adapter but for some reason the alarm testing fails. I get a CP trouble sign.

Is there a device that can enable the alarm system to use the Allvoi voip adapter. Can I use my ATT wireless service for my alarm system instead of a landline?
while i do not think that it is a supported feature.. i would recommend trying one of these http://www.myxlink.com/index.aspx it will link with a cell phone via bluetooth, and allow you to connect a standard telephone (or in your case you can attempt to connect it to the alarm system)

i would first try it out with one of the cell phones that you have to see if it works before opening another line of service with ATT - if it does not work then return the device and get your money back.. but if it does, then you can open the new service...Can I use my ATT wireless service for my alarm system instead of a landline?
When the alarm goes off it sends a signal to the monitoring center that there is a problem. It has to have a land line to work.

If your trying to save money, you can lower your phone bill by removing the calling features and just pay for a basic phone. Can I use my ATT wireless service for my alarm system instead of a landline?
Depending upon the type of panel you have there are modules for allowing VOIP service. Best thing would be to contact your installer since they have the panel information and have also locked the panel so no other installer can alter it easily.
