ADT OR BROADVIEW SECURITY?.....BEST HOME SECURITY COMPANY?

Very simple: my number one concern is a criminal entering the front or back door.

I want a system that will call the police within minutes at a low price.

So far i have been disappointed looking to do business with ADT representatives not being 'up front' with costs and a contract. As well a tad unprofessional.ADT OR BROADVIEW SECURITY?.....BEST HOME SECURITY COMPANY?
You have good reason to be leery. ADT put me into a three year contract, which was ok but that's a long time. The security reps just want to get that sale through and you also have to sometimes pay a good amount of money up front in costs. I did some research a little while back comparing ADT %26amp; Broadview's prices. I have that info listed here:

http://www.teepeetech.com/home-security-鈥?/a>

Most of your companies out there will charge around $30 / month for the monitoring service and then you are also paying for that up front installation fee. I wasn't so impressed with the installation of my system. If I was getting a system outright, I would consider getting a cellular based system. Meaning that, it's not wired into your home phone lines so if someone cuts that home phone line, they can't get around the security system.

Also, consider beefing up the security around your front and back doors. What kind of locks do you have there? Are those areas well lit? Those are some good questions to ask.

There are some other companies out there too besides Broadview %26amp; ADT. You could consider a local company in your area. We have some local companies around here that compete with ADT. I didn't like how ADT wired my house. It was a bit messy when they strung the wires through my attic. If you can go with wireless that might be a bit easier on the installation side. Other security tips I would give would be to consider a dog. They are great early warning systems and good friends. They will usually let you know when someone is outside and tip you off.

There are cheaper monitoring options than $30 / month. I remember seeing some place out there that was $11 / month but they were a smaller company. ADT will have more people staffing its phones, etc. Broadview too. You are smart to not let them sign you into a contract right away. Also, check to see if you will be staying in your house for a while. Some of them have conditions they impose if you move after only 1 year or before 1 year is up.ADT OR BROADVIEW SECURITY?.....BEST HOME SECURITY COMPANY?
I am in the same boat. I am actually thinking about Alarm Force. They use wireless cell phone signals to contact the monitoring service and only charge 29.99 a month which is MUCH less than the two you listed. Does anyone have any information on Alarm Force, or know where I can read customer reviews?ADT OR BROADVIEW SECURITY?.....BEST HOME SECURITY COMPANY?
If you go to their terms and conditions page, you see that you get their package for $32.99 if you order over the internet and don't live in specific areas of the country and don't have to have a sales rep visit your home. You are supposed to get a system installed for $99. Well you have to pay $349 at install, then wait for them to send you a coupon, fill out the coupon and send in with a copy of your installation contract and wait a couple of months to get $250 back. And if you pay less than $600 for installation, they own the equipment. Their contracts are for at least 3 years and at the end of the 3 years, it automatically renews. The only way to get out of the contract is to contact them within the specified time period at the end of the 3 years. Miss it, and you are stuck for another 3. There is also a one time $25 communication connection fee. What is that?

I thought they were supposed to keep you from being ripped off?

Find a local company, don't pay more than $20/mo, don't sign a contract longer than 1 year and if you do, make sure it renews on a month to month basis. Also make sure you own the equipment.

Brinks is now owned by ADT.
I have worked with security for a long time. Use to work with homes now only do commercial accounts.

I have a very professional friend who would be able to answer all your questions up front about ADT his number is 888-369-0260 ask for Nick.

I always recommend ADT because they have 5 monitoring stations and just bought Brinks. So the 2 top companies will be teaming up.. I like that. There are some solid local companies but can be difficult to find.
