Well casual gaming is a very general term. If you play a lot but not very high quality games then you will be just fine with a dual. If you play high quality games but not very much then quad core proccessor would be the way to go with a lot of ram so that the games run faster and without lag. If you buy a dual, be prepared with the fact that you might need to upgrade in the next few years if you still want to continue enjoying gaming on your computer. The problem with computers is you need to constantly upgrade for gaming. We just got a 360, but I'm not a big gamer. What games might I like?

Xbox 360 or PS3 for the casual gamer?
Which of the two do you prefer for the casual gamer? Someone who wants to play some Madden/Ncaa and occasionally a shooter? |||It really comes down to personal preference. Since your a casual gamer it is clear to me that i won't post the specs of each console. Pretty much comes down to these few factors
Will you be playing online?
Do you want a blu ray player to watch Bluray Dvd's?
Do you want a large variety of games to chose from?
Do you want a constantly updated interface?
Do you need hard drive space for music or downloaded movies?
If you don't really care, Xbox 360 is the thing for you, generally cheaper now than the Ps3 if you get the Premium console.
Where as, if you have friends with a Ps3 and want to play online or want a bluray player, go the ps3 just be prepared to have a limited range of games.
Ps3 also has a bigger hard drive space standard but if you wanna buy the Xbox360 Pro Console, you get something around the 120gig mark with some other added bonuses. Around the same price you'd pay for an 80gig ps3

You have Halo 3, Call Of Duty, Turok, Gears of War, etc. For a real conversation about the 360 and PS3 go to http://www.youtube.com and search "Its A Wonderful Live 2" it has a bit cursing though but its hell as funny.|||XBOX 360. How to delete xbox 360 live gamer profiles?
i accidentally made 2 xbox live accounts on my xbox 360 console and i want to delete one of them. can someone tell me how? thanks (P.S. i have the newest menu, not the old tab screens)|||Go to over to settings under 'my xbox' and select storage. Select the hard drive or memory unit the profile is on and it will be listed under 'profiles'. Press A on it and select delete.

I dislike my gamertag and want to change it. i was wondering, if i put a new live card on and renew it, will it let me change it? also if i do change it does that mean i loose ALL of my achievment and levels on call of duty and other games? also try to suggest some new gamertags please. nothin to do with sports though, maybe with like somethin italian in it|||If you re-new your XBL membership, MS will NOT let you change your gamertag for free. You will have to pay 800 MS points [$10] to change your gamertag. Think about it, The PsP GO is an all DL only system, which means your original UMDs wont work on this one. you can only Download games, music, videos, ect. onto it. It purely depends on whether or not it is easier for you to purchase the actual UMD hard copy of the game. or if its easier for you to buy the games online and DL them onto your PsP. your call.|||If you don't have a PSP, then go ahead and get the PSP Go. If you already have a PSP, then I think it's a waste of money to get a Go.

I was at my dads house when I set up my XboxLIVE account and went to my moms where there was another Xbox. I wanted to have my game stats and everything from when I was at his house. I went on the dashboard, recovered my gamertag and sure enough I was still able to play on LIVE.

Does the type of video card matter if I'm not a gamer?
I'm not a gamer, I'm just in the market of a new laptop. I use if for work and play - Work = Designing stuff for print and keeping my website up and running, and Play = Web Surfing. Xbox live recover gamer tag not working?
I recently signed in on my friends xbox360 and I am now trying to recover it back to my xbox360 and it says that xbox live signup is currently unavailable and please try again later. Why is this happening and when will it let me recover my tag?|||That happened to me too. But after a couple of retries it finally let me through.
I suggest retrying one more time.|||i have tried to recover mine over 75 times and it still isnt working i called the hotline and all they said was to wait|||The same thing is happening to me and a lot of other people. Calling Microsoft is the only thing to do, but I'm sure they're just going to tell you to wait it out.

Do you think having a gamer dating option or something like that is a cool idea for xbox live?
No, simply because XBL isn't a feature directed simply towards adults. XBL is a gamer and media platform. Maybe one day when eharmony buys Microsoft out, there may be one, but something like that isn't an appropriate "gamer" addition. Does the type of video card matter if I'm not a gamer?
I'm not a gamer, I'm just in the market of a new laptop. I use if for work and play - Work = Designing stuff for print and keeping my website up and running, and Play = Web Surfing. Xbox live recover gamer tag not working?
I recently signed in on my friends xbox360 and I am now trying to recover it back to my xbox360 and it says that xbox live signup is currently unavailable and please try again later. Why is this happening and when will it let me recover my tag?|||That happened to me too. But after a couple of retries it finally let me through.
I suggest retrying one more time.|||i have tried to recover mine over 75 times and it still isnt working i called the hotline and all they said was to wait|||The same thing is happening to me and a lot of other people. So I want to know what makes a 'gamer'. In my opinion I do not feel she is 'hardcore', she plays wii alot but she doesn't play a range of games just things on the wii and nds. Little kids play wii till their bed time yet others do not refer to them as hardcore or even gamers in general.
So what do you guys think what defines a gamer and a hardcore gamer?|||A gamer LOVES games. (doesnt have to be all games, or even most popular, but would rather play games than do much else.)A "hardcore" gamer is someone who will spend relentless hours and days playing games. They play only the hardest levels and beats them quickly, and usually gets all of the secrets. How much does she love her Wii? does she usually chose it over you? does she play her DS even when she's with you? Then she's probably a Gamer. If she wants to think she's Hardcore, whats the harm in letting her? She's only making a fool of herself.|||i die hard gaming fan someone who owns the latest and greatest game like black ops and are PRO AT IT those who play fast paced action games take them seriously and of course none of that wii or hand held console crap cause theres no challenge or skill involved in them.

Are microsoft points the same as the gamer points you get through achievemnts?

What are "Work Station" graphics cards? hows that different from high end gamer graphics cards?
Work station graphics cards are made for high end 3D rendering, or for more industrial applications such as AutoCAD, etc. The cards are very highly priced, and don't always perform as well in games as "gamer" graphics cards.|||Work station card are for making video games Auto CAD and CGI rendering like making Shrek movies. They are used by professionals and rich hobbyists who want to draw graphics.
I would stick to Gamer Cards.
