Which of the two do you prefer for the casual gamer? Someone who wants to play some Madden/Ncaa and occasionally a shooter? |||It really comes down to personal preference. Since your a casual gamer it is clear to me that i won't post the specs of each console. Pretty much comes down to these few factors
Will you be playing online?
Do you want a blu ray player to watch Bluray Dvd's?
Do you want a large variety of games to chose from?
Do you want a constantly updated interface?
Do you need hard drive space for music or downloaded movies?
If you don't really care, Xbox 360 is the thing for you, generally cheaper now than the Ps3 if you get the Premium console.
Where as, if you have friends with a Ps3 and want to play online or want a bluray player, go the ps3 just be prepared to have a limited range of games.
Ps3 also has a bigger hard drive space standard but if you wanna buy the Xbox360 Pro Console, you get something around the 120gig mark with some other added bonuses. Around the same price you'd pay for an 80gig ps3

My personal Preference - Xbox360|||xbox|||for sports and shooters, XBox 360 is the way to go.|||Xbox 360 then|||Well most Xbox360 games are casual offline and online in my oppinion |||sorry .. i have to choose the ps3 .. xbox has a pending lawsuit for selling know 360 units that were bad or defective. but i would play both units to see what i liked.. everybody in not going to see things the same way . but they has to be a reason the 360 price has droped more than $200 in the last year...|||Definiteely the Xbox 360. It has tthe best controller for first person shooters and stuff.. I just don't think the PS3 is worth it. There are only a couple games that are shooters for PS3 but for 360 there's a load of them. You have Halo 3, Call Of Duty, Turok, Gears of War, etc. For a real conversation about the 360 and PS3 go to http://www.youtube.com and search "Its A Wonderful Live 2" it has a bit cursing though but its hell as funny.|||XBOX 360. PS3 was a let down in my opinion. The only way that it was able to continue was because of games that were carrying for it -- and those, as I have heard, have been let down... and also have been released for the XBOX. The XBOX gives more diversity as well, as well as online play.|||xbox 360.. its cheaper than the ps3.. it will serve your purpose|||xbox 360 is u want to go online if u don't really care then still get the xbox 360.
