When i have a internet in my xbox 360 when i redeem my gamer tag my files and achievements wont lost?

i dont a inter in my xbox-360 but i will have some day,if i had it can i still use my gamer tag? like the one i ( redeem your gamer tag ) if my gamer tag is redeemed does its file and saves will be still there and will not be lost? and the game that i want to play online is halo 3,if i redeem my gamer tag i want my achievements will not be lostWhen i have a internet in my xbox 360 when i redeem my gamer tag my files and achievements wont lost?Yeah, if you recover your gamertag on xbox live, all the achievements will be there and everything, at least for me it was.
