On xbox live, if you ask people to file complaint your Gamer Tag so you can change it, do you get banned?

I have had xbox live for about 2-3 years now and a lot of my friends keep telling me to file complaint them because they want to change their gamer tag. When i tried this i got a lot of messages saying that you get banned but when my friends did it they changed their names the next day! so do you get banned or not?On xbox live, if you ask people to file complaint your Gamer Tag so you can change it, do you get banned?The real answer is, you COULD get suspended.



Even though many folks have gotten a "free" pass to change their gamertag by getting others to complain about it, Microsoft has started to change how they respond to this situation.



Now you have a greater chance of getting suspended for what the Code of Conduct considers "complaint abuse". Real people look at the gamertag complaints and make a determination whether or not to issue a name change directive. They also have data on who's making the complaints, friends lists, etc.
