Is the Nintendo Wii worth it to buy, for a casual gamer?

I mean, it would be exercise, and fun, but I'm not all hardcore into video games. I have an N64 and a PS2. I like zelda and mario games (family games basically).. but also stuff like ratchet and clank, and the odd time, racing games.

I never would have bought an X-Box 360 or a PS3 because I think they are too complicated but I love Wii because you can just pick it up and play it. They have tons of fun Zelda and Mario games plus lots of fun games that are collections of mini games. This sounds like this is perfect for you.|||as long as you dont play rubbish like dogz of beach sports just stick with nintendo isf you are casual coz the only gd 3rd party ones are violent and hardcore

|||Yep it is really good for the casual gamer, but a bad system for the hardcore gamer|||ya. i got a Wii and i'm a casual gamer. it's so worth it.|||It's absolutely worth it... especially if you're a big Nintendo fan and love their games; especially since you do have a N64 and like Zelda and Mario! :)





The Wii is like every Nintendo system in one; because you can download old classic games from the NES, SNES, and N64 from the Wii Shop Channel.





Plus with its revolutanry remote, you can have lots of fun with any ol and good Wii game.





Every gamer who's a hardcore gamer, or are even wanting to begin with a good game should no doubt about it get:

Super Smash Bros Brawl





And since most casual gamers like pick me up and easy to play games, games like Wii Sports (comes bundled with the Wii), Wii Play, WarioWare, and like My Sims, or Dance Dance Revolution are fun games.





Plus Nintendo updates the Wii with new channels, (like the Mii, photo, internet, and news and forcast channels), and special standby and Wi-Fi features.|||if your a casual gamer, the wii is right for you. If you are a hardcore gamer, I would definetly not get this system. I got it, and I'm a hardcore gamer, and I regret getting it. You get bored of it in a few months.|||The nintendo wii is great! This is the first game system that doesn't have you sitting on the couch eating chips. Finally you can get up and move and actually feel like your in a tennis tournament or a boxing match. It's really worth the buy and definitely different and better than other game systems. You should really get one because you will NOT regret it.
