\|||Hardcore Games: Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Gears of War, Metal Gear Solid, Resistance,pretty much any good shooter gamer Madden 09,...





the job of pro gamers is to play the game they are best at in tournaments, and if they win they get money|||play final fantasy cos they take soo long to finish


and play fps games cos they take skill and are harcore


eg. cod4|||For the former, it doesn't matter. All you have to do is find a game you like and then claim everyone who doesn't play that is not "hardcore".





As for the latter, there are two holy grails. The first (and theoretically more likely) is for people who are particularly good at playing various online games "professionally" (ie. with special rules and mods enabled to change the gameplay experience) competitively. These people then compete in tournaments and ladders for money. If you wish to get into this, I would suggest researching local tournaments and finding what games are popular in your area, then learning how to play said game with the appropriate mods enabled.


The second kind (which doesn't really exist) is the theoretical "professional beta tester". While it is true that some companies (Relic comes to mind) do pay outside people to test their games, those people are usually culled from the community as a reward/way to gauge whether or not the community will think the game is "balanced". More often than not though, it will just be the friends and family who do closed beta tests. And they probably won't be paid.|||There are four types of games where money is at in professional gaming





FPS- This is where most of the money is. Games like Halo, Call of Duty, Unreal, etc.





RTS- Real time strategies. This is probably where the second most money is. Games like Starcraft, Age of Empires, Warcraft, etc.





Fighting games- There is some money here. Games like Streetfighter, Mortal Kombat, Smash Brothers.





Sports games- This is primarily tied to Madden, although in the past there has been NFL Blitz tournaments and NBA Jam and NBA Street tournaments.

Well casual gaming is a very general term. If you play a lot but not very high quality games then you will be just fine with a dual. If you play high quality games but not very much then quad core proccessor would be the way to go with a lot of ram so that the games run faster and without lag. We just got a 360, but I'm not a big gamer. What games might I like?

The only game we have at the moment is Tomb Raider Anniversary.|||im a huge gamer (bit of a geek for it u might say, lol), but my gf neva used to be, but because she spent so much time around me she has started to get into it, so rly i would just say start on simple games, easy to understand, there is nothing worse than my gf complaining at me that she does'nt understand a game and starts saying she is rubbish at them, many games will take time to get the hang of, so dont give up streight away if u find some games to hard :-)|||if u not a big gamer.
